Spanish singer Mar Lucas’s themed birthday was a resounding success. Once again, she trusted us, the Natalia Ortiz Events team, to organize her celebration. And we couldn’t be more grateful that she’s back with us for the second year in a row! Last year we had the pleasure of designing her party, and this year was no different.
From the very beginning, Mar was crystal clear: she had always been a fan of Hannah Montana and wanted to pay tribute to her on such a special day. So we got to work making that dream a reality. Everything, absolutely everything, was inspired by her favorite character: from the outfit to the cake.
The party didn’t lack any detail. The most iconic Disney Channel songs played, like those from High School Musical, Teen Beach Movie, and Camp Rock. We organized a fun karaoke session, and set up a photocall with boas, feather fans, and even wigs! All in true Disney Channel style.
Without a doubt, the Disney Channel-themed birthday party was a hot topic, in the best possible way! It was a beautiful tribute to her favorite series and movies, and a nostalgic nod to the magical era of the 2000s. All her guests had a great time… and we enjoyed every bit of it too!

A Venue to Match
For this special themed birthday, we booked the Oh My Club venue, located in the heart of Madrid, in the Paseo de la Castellana area, just a few minutes from Plaza Castilla. It’s a space we know well and often recommend because it’s suitable for both corporate events and unique personal celebrations, like this one!

Set-worthy decorations
For Spanish singer Mar Lucas’s themed birthday, we knew one of the most important elements would be the decorations. That’s why Mar trusted us, the Natalia Ortiz Events team, for the second year in a row. And we couldn’t be more grateful to have her back with us again!
Last year, we organized her 22nd birthday party, and it was an experience that exceeded her expectations. She was so happy with the result that she wanted to work with us again this year, although that also meant an even greater responsibility. We wanted everything to be perfect (and better than before!).
From the beginning, Mar shared many ideas with us. She gave us creative freedom because she trusted our judgment and work, but she also made sure every detail fit in with the rest of the party. And we loved working that way!
We designed a balloon arch combining different sizes and shades: pink, pearl, and clear, to add shine and depth to the space. We also used a yellow neon sign with the phrase “Happy Birthday” and a pink furry backdrop for the photo booth, perfect for everyone to take fun photos.
We also added tons of details that were a hit throughout the night: boas, feather fans, wigs, microphones, chic cowboy hats, and tiaras. Everything was designed to make guests feel like true stars of their favorite Disney Channel series.
The result was spectacular. Mar was delighted, and her guests enjoyed every bit of it. A perfect decoration for an unforgettable night!
A Movie Cake
For Spanish singer Mar Lucas’s 23rd birthday, we wanted every last detail to reflect the Disney Channel essence, and of course, the cake couldn’t be any exception. That’s why we entrusted the incredible Daniela Matute to create a completely personalized cake, inspired by the iconic Hannah Montana. A dream for any 2000s fan!
The design was exclusive, conceived especially for this special themed birthday. We included details full of nostalgia and fantasy: glitter, rock guitars, the show’s logo, diamonds, colorful stars, pearls… and three tiers that wouldn’t go unnoticed!
Without a doubt, the cake became one of the night’s biggest centers of attention. Not only for its aesthetics, but also for the care conveyed by each decorative element.
And best of all: we managed to have it ready in just 48 hours! A challenge that was well worth it. Doesn’t that sound ideal?
Disney Channel-themed dress code
For Spanish singer Mar Lucas’s themed birthday, we took care of every detail… and of course, the dress code couldn’t be left out. Mar surprised us with a turquoise, strappy, gathered mini dress with sparkles and a mini train, inspired by the film Princess Protection Program (2009). It was a perfect nod to the character of Carter Mason, played by Selena Gomez.
Her friend and influencer Marta Díaz matched her, wearing a pastel yellow, stretchy mini dress with straps and rectangular and square rhinestones in silver tones, clearly inspired by Demi Lovato’s look in that same film. They looked perfect!
Continuing along those lines, we proposed a dress code inspired by the most iconic Disney Channel looks. And the guests gave it their all.
We saw looks with glitter, striking prints (including the classic leopard print), T-shirts with retro logos, low-rise pants, and tons of very pop accessories: white sunglasses, hair scrunchies, high-heeled flip-flops, lip gloss… and lots of attitude!
Honestly, it was like being inside one of those legendary series that defined an entire era. A true trip back in time with a lot of retro-glam style!
