A proposal under the magical sunset of the Maspalomas Dunes

More and more couples are taking the next step: marriage proposals. Indeed, this is something that is still flourishing and that will never go out of style. We love proposals just like this one in Maspalomas.

The groom wanted to surprise his bride with a proposal during their holidays in Gran Canaria, at the Maspalomas Dunes, and what a surprise it was!

When the groom contacted us a few months ago about his trip to Maspalomas, asking us if we could be his partners in crime for one of the most important moments of his life… of course we said yes! We got down to work to organize this unforgettable moment in a matter of minutes.

A mix of desert and oasis

Nothing better than saying “ I do” under the sunset of the Maspalomas Dunes. These 400 hectares of nature are very famous in the Canary Islands for their beauty and variety of ecosystems, although it may not seem so!

Indeed, the couple got engaged in a nature reserve overlooking a gorgeous beach, on a field of dunes of organic sand, and near a palm forest and a brackish lagoon.

A real luxury!

The decor, sober and classic

While the dunes alone are a unique setting that needs little decoration, we put the icing on the cake with a series of candles on the sand, in a heart shape.

This way we gave this moment and place a romantic and warm touch. Sometimes less is more!

White, the main protagonist

The outfit always has to go with the moment, and that is why the bride and groom did not hesitate for a second to wear the color of purity and peace to become fiancé and fiancée.

The bride looked spectacular, wearing a flowing white shirt with light transparent horizontal lines and a pleated midi skirt in dusty pink silk. She accessorized the look with a white pirate-style headscarf with orange and reddish print. And for her shoes… nothing more comfortable and daring than a pair of white converse!

The groom on the other hand was also very elegant but comfortable at the same time. He opted for a white shirt and black jeans. Just like the bride, he wore white sneakers for the occasion.

The ring that left everyone speechless

The astonishment was immediate, and the bride could not wait to say “I do” when she saw such a diamond. The groom placed the solitaire-style ring on her, a square ring full of small diamonds and a huge one in the center, and they immediately fell into a tender kiss.

An eternal memory

It was all captured in some amazing pictures! Just as amazing as the moment experienced by the bride and groom. And all thanks to the best wedding and event planner, Natalia Ortiz, from Weddings and Events by Natalia Ortiz and Perfect Venue, who always achieves a sublime organization.

A bohemian style that fits perfectly with the chosen decoration for the wedding where there was a large rural and vintage influence. While for her hair, she opted for a wavy half up-do, providing simplicity and harmony to the whole style. While for her makeup, by Anna Segura, she opted for natural tones with nothing over the top.

The bouquet and the rest of the flowers for the ceremony were handled by the florist The Boj. They chose pastel tones where a pale pink was especially dominant, adding a very romantic touch. On the other hand, the groom chose and grey suit, an original and different option to what we are used to seeing and is perfect for such a great moment.
