Extraordinary emotion at Nick and Shelly’s wedding

Madrid, the city which will help you bring to life any of the crazy ideas that have gone through your mind; this city that offers you the opportunity to live unforgettable experiences for the rest of your life.

It may be because of all its various districts, its restaurants filled with cheerful people, its history or its culture, but Madrid makes everyone who goes there feel like they feel like they were in the stars.

This is why the city has also become a great wedding destination, both for nationals and foreign people. It is a compromise full of class, style and a lot of glamour. And if you don’t think it is the case, say it to Shelly and Nick, our bride and groom who decided to celebrate their wedding in Madrid.

Climbing large stairs, walking on big carpets and among wonderful rooms of the time, such as its halls with French pool tables, the majestic dance halls and the singular architectural elements. Don’t you think this place is a complete work of art ideal to get married?

The couple did not only chose this architectural emblem for the ceremony, but also for the banquet, during which they were able to taste the best dishes in a dining room lined with wood, crystal and bronze chandeliers, with scenic canvases of the time and even with the original furniture of 1910!

For the decoration of these spaces, the simplicity and classicism portrayed by the white flowers bouquets with green leaves arranged on the altar was more than enough.

The same white roses with green leaves made up the centerpieces of the table, placed on a bronze tray and accompanied by two large white candles which had been placed inside large crystal glasses.

On the table of the bride and groom, the centerpiece stood out, showing off the four letters of LOVE in red, thus differing from those of the rest of the guests.

The tablecloths and napkins were also in white tones, as were the crockery, with the exception of the silver cutlery and the crystal glasses.

Some details that made the difference were the menu envelope, in kraft paper, and the guests’ welcome sign on a large wooden board, also decorated with white roses and green leaves characteristic of the big day, with the names of the bride and groom and the date of their union. It was also the case for the table that had been arranged for the guests to leave their letters or take their souvenir cork bottle-top.

As for the bride’s main dress, it consisted of a mermaid cut dress and an elegant tail, completely embroidered with floral motifs, and with a heart-shaped neckline that also left her back uncovered. This design was chosen for the ceremony and the banquet.

But Shelly continued to shine! For the afterparty, she chose a completely different design: a dress full of bronze sequins that formed a pattern on a white background, with a v-neck and fine straps. Perfect to dance all night long!

For both looks, the hairstyle was the same: a low bun with two loose hair strands on both sides of the face. The updo was decorated with a row of white and pink flowers and small green leaves.

The bronze tone of Shelly’s second dress perfectly matched Nick, the groom,’s suit, who chose a brown jacket suit with flap details and darker brown pockets, like the pants. All accompanied by a bow tie in this same color.

The photographs taken by Aljosa Petric made the result very funny, and shows really well that emotion and laughter played a major part in the wedding.

Natalia Ortiz was the Wedding Planner who made everything possible and lead to the perfect result the bride and groom had always dreamed of. At Weddings and Events by Natalia Ortiz we keep on fulfilling dreams!

Long live love!

How to Choose a Friend to Officiate Your Wedding in Madrid

Having a friend officiate your wedding could be a good idea if you want your wedding to have as many personal touches as possible. You may also feel more comfortable and less nervous saying your vows in front of a friendly face. However, if you want your friend to officiate your wedding there are certain things to take into account. Here we run through each of the most important elements to think about if you want your friend to officiate your wedding – let’s go!
Make sure that both you and your partner agree on who should officiate your wedding.

Choosing a friend to officiate your wedding is a good idea if you and your future spouse have the same friends. It is important that you are both happy with who you choose to be the officiator, as this is potentially the most important part of the wedding, and it could be difficult to agree if you have different friends!

Consider the basics

When choosing a friend to officiate your wedding, you need to go back to basics. Ask yourself if they can read well, if they have a clear voice, and if they are a confident public speaker. If you want your friend to officiate your wedding, you need to make sure they feel comfortable doing so, and that they will be able to conduct the ceremony to a good standard.

Discuss with your friend in advance how you want the ceremony to be

You need to inform your friend how you want the ceremony to be, for example do you want it to be light hearted and funny or more subtle and emotional? You should also tell your friend if you have any ideas or anything you want them to say at your ceremony. As it is your friend officiating the wedding, you will have more opportunities to speak to them and voice how you want it to be. Ensure that they make your wedding personal and to reflect your personalities.

Outfit

The officiator at the wedding will feature on the photographs of you saying your vows, which could potentially be the ones you treasure the most! As a result, you should carefully consider what your friend will wear when they officiate your wedding – you will likely want your friend to be comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Practice!

One of the most important things to ensure is that your friend who will officiate your wedding practises what he or she is going to say over and over again. They are unlikely to be a professional officiator, and therefore practice will be key if you want the ceremony to run smoothly!

So, here are some things to think about if you’re choosing a friend to officiate your wedding. If you want more information, you can write to us at info@svadbavispanii.ru.

A fairytale wedding in La Quinta de Illescas

La Quinta de Illescas is a wonderful venue for weddings, located in Toledo, 30 km away from Madrid. There, we carried out this project with an exceptional team, and the result has exceeded our expectations (which were really high). We present you below this romantic wedding in La Quinta de Illescas, of those two lovebirds whose chemistry is seen in all the photographs.

The bride wore an elegant and delicate dress from Laura Lomas, with long sleeves and lace cuffs, and a breathtaking back. Her hairstyle was one of the hits of the look : a side ponytail which fitted perfectly with the dress. As for make up, Almy chose an intense look and nude lips. The big green and white bouquet was the perfect complement for this beautiful bride. The groom was not left behind, and looked very elegant in a dark suit and white shirt. The harmony of their looks was perfect!

The ceremony took place in one of the crystal rooms of the venue, through wich a lot of light entered. Diana decorated the place with beautiful flowers along the aisle and on the altar. It was a very peaceful and romantic place.

After the ceremony, we moved to one of the great halls of La Quinta de Illescas, perfect for celebrating a great banquet. Everything was decorated with the wedding tones, in black and white, with flowers as a centerpiece that illuminated the room.

The couple could take pictures in different places of this bucolic space, surrounded by gardens of different styles. In the decoration, green and white predominated, whether in the flowers or in the pretty candles the decorated the stairs. We leave you with the result of this magical wedding in La Quinta de Illescas!

Wedding in Madrid – Teresa y Ernest

Teresa and Ernest celebrated their wedding in Madrid last February. It was a very romantic and emotional wedding, in which the couple was surrounded by all their loved ones who came from the USA and Mexico to accompany the couple on this special day.

The bride got ready in a hotel in the centre of the city, with a smile on her face. She wore a beautiful heart-shaped dress with transparent sleeves and she looked stunning. She wore a very natural hairstyle and for makeup she had black eyes and pink lips. The jewel shoes in nude and the red nails were the perfect touches of color. The bouquet was a delicate one with white flowers.

Ernest was waiting at the altar with a dark suit and bow tie, very elegant and excited, and the ceremony could not have been more emotional. The banks were adorned with pretty white bouquets that gave light to this cozy Church.

At the banquet all the guests could sit at the same table, where they could enjoy together this unforgettable day. A beautiful detail was waiting for them at the table: a precious silver spoon. Look how lovely this wedding in Madrid was.

Wedding in Madrid: Oscar & Natalia

Oscar and Natalia’s wedding took place on a beautiful estate in Madrid. It was a magnificent Madrid wedding and today we want to show you how fabulous the day was – we hope you like it as much we do!

The setting was gorgeous, a lovely stone estate which was quite medieval in style, surrounded by picturesque, green gardens. The ceremony for this wedding in Madrid took place indoors, in a room with exposed stone walls and white beams on the ceiling which made the room lovely and bright, as well as traditional in style. The guests sat on white chairs which matched perfectly with the colour of the ceiling and the room was decorated simply but elegantly, with a few flower arrangements near the altar. The flowers contained strong pink tones, which contrasted amazingly with the room and matched the bride’s bouquet.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom had a photoshoot in the stunning outdoors surrounded by the fantastic stone pillars.

Styling

Both the bride and groom looked incredible on their big day. Natalia wore a wonderful dress with lots of sparkling details and a big netted skirt. The dress also had a beaded belt which added another glamorous detail to her dress and was very flattering. She wore her hair in a loose updo and she looked absolutely beautiful.

Oscar wore a smart black suit with a white shirt and a navy tie. He wore a dark pink flower in his jacket which matched perfectly with Natalia’s bouquet so the couple were in harmony.

We really enjoyed planning this special Madrid wedding and we couldn’t have been more happy with the result. If you are interested in letting us plan your own special day, you can write to us at info@svadbavispanii.ru.
