Extraordinary emotion at Nick and Shelly’s wedding

Madrid, the city which will help you bring to life any of the crazy ideas that have gone through your mind; this city that offers you the opportunity to live unforgettable experiences for the rest of your life.

It may be because of all its various districts, its restaurants filled with cheerful people, its history or its culture, but Madrid makes everyone who goes there feel like they feel like they were in the stars.

This is why the city has also become a great wedding destination, both for nationals and foreign people. It is a compromise full of class, style and a lot of glamour. And if you don’t think it is the case, say it to Shelly and Nick, our bride and groom who decided to celebrate their wedding in Madrid.

Climbing large stairs, walking on big carpets and among wonderful rooms of the time, such as its halls with French pool tables, the majestic dance halls and the singular architectural elements. Don’t you think this place is a complete work of art ideal to get married?

The couple did not only chose this architectural emblem for the ceremony, but also for the banquet, during which they were able to taste the best dishes in a dining room lined with wood, crystal and bronze chandeliers, with scenic canvases of the time and even with the original furniture of 1910!

For the decoration of these spaces, the simplicity and classicism portrayed by the white flowers bouquets with green leaves arranged on the altar was more than enough.

The same white roses with green leaves made up the centerpieces of the table, placed on a bronze tray and accompanied by two large white candles which had been placed inside large crystal glasses.

On the table of the bride and groom, the centerpiece stood out, showing off the four letters of LOVE in red, thus differing from those of the rest of the guests.

The tablecloths and napkins were also in white tones, as were the crockery, with the exception of the silver cutlery and the crystal glasses.

Some details that made the difference were the menu envelope, in kraft paper, and the guests’ welcome sign on a large wooden board, also decorated with white roses and green leaves characteristic of the big day, with the names of the bride and groom and the date of their union. It was also the case for the table that had been arranged for the guests to leave their letters or take their souvenir cork bottle-top.

As for the bride’s main dress, it consisted of a mermaid cut dress and an elegant tail, completely embroidered with floral motifs, and with a heart-shaped neckline that also left her back uncovered. This design was chosen for the ceremony and the banquet.

But Shelly continued to shine! For the afterparty, she chose a completely different design: a dress full of bronze sequins that formed a pattern on a white background, with a v-neck and fine straps. Perfect to dance all night long!

For both looks, the hairstyle was the same: a low bun with two loose hair strands on both sides of the face. The updo was decorated with a row of white and pink flowers and small green leaves.

The bronze tone of Shelly’s second dress perfectly matched Nick, the groom,’s suit, who chose a brown jacket suit with flap details and darker brown pockets, like the pants. All accompanied by a bow tie in this same color.

The photographs taken by Aljosa Petric made the result very funny, and shows really well that emotion and laughter played a major part in the wedding.

Natalia Ortiz was the Wedding Planner who made everything possible and lead to the perfect result the bride and groom had always dreamed of. At Weddings and Events by Natalia Ortiz we keep on fulfilling dreams!

Long live love!
